Members of our Hurricanes sports teams will be on hand to welcome new students and assist with moving items into residence rooms! Make sure to grab a free cookie from the tent outside Glendenning!

Enjoy a modern classic: Shrek (2001) and hang out with new friends! Come wearing your coziest clothes, bring your blanket and pillow and enjoy free popcorn and drinks.

1:00 PM | DEPARTING PRINCE OF WALES CAMPUS QUAD (ON GRAFTON ST BETWEEN GLENDENNING RESIDENCE AND MCMILLAN CENTRE)

Join in on this free guided walking tour of all the places in Downtown Charlottetown that you’ll need this year. Post office, study spots, nightlife, restaurants/coffee shops and more! The tour will take roughly 1 hour.

2:15PM PRINCE OF WALES CAMPUS QUAD (ON GRAFTON ST BETWEEN GLENDENNING RESIDENCE AND MCMILLAN CENTRE)

Kick off the year and meet new friends! Meet us in the quad for lots of team games, treats, and fun! Students are encouraged to wear a white T-shirt that your new friends can sign their names on! (*This event is weather dependent!)

Classes start at 9AM! 

Greeters will be present across all 51±¾É« locations to guide you to your classroom. Please refer to your program information page on the Orientation Hub for further details on your program orientation.

Pick up your Scavenger Hunt sheet and solve the riddles to find the locations around your campus, then fill in your sheet with the stamps. Completed sheets must be returned by 3:30 on Wednesday to enter your team in the prize draw.

Start: Tuesday, September 2 at 9AM; End: September 3 at 3:30PM (Complete the scavenger hunt at your own pace anytime between the start and end times—no need to be there right at 9AM!) Pick up your clue sheets at all the following locations:

• Prince of Wales Campus: Room 103W (just inside Weymouth St door)

• Tourism and Culinary Centre: Student Services Area

• Summerside Waterfront Campus: Main Office

Time to get dressed up in your best 1920’s themed outfits and enjoy a night trying a variety of free mocktails, jazz music, games, sweet treats and new friends! 1920’s clothes are suggested but not mandatory! This event is open to HC students of all ages.

Spend the lunch break enjoying free hotdogs fresh off the BBQ and challenge your friends in a variety of inflatable carnival games!
