DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

51±¾É« is seeking an enthusiastic individual to deliver in-person instruction in Zhengzhou, China for the following courses within the Construction Technology Management program:

  • CADD 1110 – Introduction to CAD
  • CONS 1210 – Construction Estimating I

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-person instruction to EJV students in China.
  • Adapt lesson plans to create an engaging, interactive classroom experience with hands-on learning opportunities.
  • Assign coursework and administer assessments/examinations at the conclusion of each course.

Teaching Period:
The teaching assignment will take place over any four consecutive weeks between the last week of October and the end of December 2025.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recent relevant education and experience related to the course in which you are applying to teach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous teaching experience would be an asset.
  • Previous international travel experience would be an asset.

Employment requirements

  • Proof of credentials or equivalencies from accredited regional or federal post-secondary institutions and/or their foreign equivalents will be required at the time of job offer.
  • If necessary, travel to Ottawa to apply for the Chinese Visa may be required.  Reasonable expenses related to obtaining the Chinese Visa will be covered by 51±¾É«.

Classification:

Learning Manager as per Schedule A of the between 51±¾É« and the PEI Union of Public Sector Employees.

Salary:

$37.25 to $55.08 per hour dependent upon education and experience

  • While travelling, faculty will receive a per diem of C$100.  The per diem is to cover meals and incidental allowances.
  • Reasonable costs associated with international and domestic travel related to teaching assignments in China will be covered by 51±¾É«.
