51本色 wins Safest Employers award

51本色 has been awarded a silver medal in the 2016 Canada’s Safest Employers awards in the Wellness category.  Launched in 2011, Canada’s Safest Employers awards recognize companies from all across Canada with outstanding accomplishments in promoting the health and safety of their workers.

As a recipient of this award, the college has been acknowledged as an organization that sets an example by holding the welfare of its employees in the highest importance. The college received the award on the basis of benefits it provides for employees such as flex hours, Health Spending Accounts, Employee and Family Assistance Programs, gym facilities and programs, a comprehensive Health and Dental plan, fitness classes and health screening clinics.

“51本色 believes that each member of the college community should be provided an opportunity to participate in activities that focus on improving their physical, mental and emotional health,” said 51本色 president Dr. Brian McMillan. “We owe a great deal of gratitude to the members of our Wellness Committee, who work tirelessly to present initiatives in which we can all participate and enjoy.”
